Making Thanksgiving Easier for your pets

Thanksgiving can be stressful and dangerous for your pet! Here are some things to think of to get you and your furry friends through the holiday.

Resist feeding your pet human food! It could upset their stomach and cause pancreatitis.

Before your guests arrive, go out for a good run or a long walk. Exercise will get rid of extra energy and help make them calm for the visit.

Watch the garbage! Make sure your pet can NOT get into the garbage by accident. Garbages contain possible foreign bodies, bacteria, and possible toxins!

Tell friends and family not to offer food scraps to your pet.

Offer special chew toys while people are around.

Make sure your pet has a microchip or ID tag/collar on - just in case they get out when people are coming and going.

Make sure to CAREFULLY disose of turkey bones so that your pet can't get them! These bones can cause life threatening injuries.
