Dogs eating poop (Coprophagia) usually means nothing. Most of the time it is just because they like it!

A couple of ways to stop this not so wonderful behavior.....

1. Keep your dog on a leash

2. Clean up right away after your dog has a poop

3. Comercial products availible for creating a "bad taste".

Some of the problems associated with eating dog feces include bad breath, parasites and vomiting from eating too much.

Parasites include roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, tapeworm and coccidia. Some of these can be transferred to your family, so if you have concerns, please contact your veterinarian for more information.
